Standard Machine Components

Hydraulic Withdrawal Allows access to the inner tooling of the fin stamping die without removing the die from the press.

Uncoiling System

This uncoiler, of the pinch roll feed type, maintains a free stock loop paying into the press. It is controlled by a photo-electric sensor to coincide with the press operating speed.

>> More Information

Die Lubrication System Provides lubricant to the fin die.

Suction Unit The current standard upper suction unit is 1 ½ horsepower, but 5 horsepower fixed or 5 horsepower variable speed units are also available. Double units are available for extreme material and part design.

Stacker Unit

As fins are manufactured and dropped to the fin stacker, the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) counts fins and stops the press when a predetermined amount of fins have been created. Various types of fin stackers are available to suit your needs.

Additional Options

We offer an extensive line of options to meet your specific fin production needs, including:

Die Pierce Punch Lubrication System Recommended for additional lubrication to the pierce punches and dies.

Die Enhancement Lubrication System Recommended for additional lubrication to the enhancement punches and dies.

Standard Fin Die Injector Lubrication System May be included as an alternative to both the Pierce Punch and Enhancement Lubrication Systems.

Fin Stock Lubrication Filtration System

Fin Stock Lacer and Guide This device laces the new aluminum strip through the die by push button control. It then functions as a stock guide.

Fin Line Feed System There are many feed system options available, including:
  • Direct Drive
  • Progression Changer 2:1 - Allows for the switch from double to single progression.
  • Progression Changer 4:3 - Allows for the switch from quadruple to triple progression..

Single Row Fin Options Single row fins have unique characteristics that require special suction and fin stacker unit options.

Fin Blow Down This option may be included to complement the suction unit when manufacturing lightweight fins.

Fin Line Dual Wire Tap Down System This option may be included to complement the suction unit when manufacturing lightweight fins and small hole diameters.

Fin Die Auto Slit Selector Mechanism This automatic system is used to determine the needed adjustment to the die slitter blades from various row productions in less than 1 minute. This works in conjunction with the fin die.

Fin Die Auto Edge Trim Selector Mechanism This mechanism actuates the quick adjustment of the die edge trim blades to match stock width requirements.

Fin Die Take Out System (Not available for FP-1A) For quick and easy removal of the die from the press.

Fin Line Scrap Transfer Conveyor System This option uses a conveyor system to collect the material discarded during press operation.

Fin Line Scrap Collector System This system is used to collect the material discarded during press operation.

Fin Press Vibration Isolators This option isolates the press from the floor to reduce vibration. It also provides support and levels the machine. The vibration isolators also allow the press to be relocated in your facility with minimal foundation preparation.
