Fin Line Uncoiler

The Fin Stock Uncoiler was designed to supply the press with the raw material needed to produce a fin. Most of the material needed for this production comes in coil form and is loaded onto the uncoiler which then supplies a loop of stock to the lubrication system before entering the fin die. This uncoiler is driven by one of several different style motors, which are connected to two pinch rollers by a clutch. A limit and a stock fault switch controls the stock loop to prevent any loss of progression in the fin press. The limit switch, located near the stock slide screen on the uncoiler, signals a clutch to either engage when material is needed or disengage when enough material has been unreeled. The stock fault switch signals the press to top stop when either the material becomes tight between the uncoiler and the lubrication system or the material has been exhausted from the coil.
