Burr Oak Tool Inc. recently hosted its first annual Oak Sales Summit from May 10 – May 13, 2011.  Representatives from Korea, Japan, China, India, Thailand, the Czech Republic and Mexico met in Sturgis, MI for training and information.

FIRST OAK SALES SUMMIT FOR BURR OAK TOOL

Burr Oak Tool Inc. recently hosted its first annual Oak Sales Summit from May 10 – May 13, 2011.  Representatives from Korea, Japan, China, India, Thailand, the Czech Republic and Mexico met in Sturgis, MI for training and information.  Several presentations were given at the summit, including one featuring various initiatives the company has made to improve production efficiency and competitiveness.  A hands-on tour of the assembly area was also given for those in attendance.

Other topics covered at the summit included technical and historical machine knowledge which was gathered by engineers from Burr Oak Tool.  The international representatives also spoke about the issues faced within their own geographic markets, as well as the benefits and some negatives of OAK machines compared to competitors.  There was also a time of discussion with the Burr Oak sales, service, engineering, parts, manufacturing and assembly personnel where ideas, recommendations and suggestions were exchanged.

For almost 65 years Burr Oak Tool Inc. has designed and customized production machinery for the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.  OAK machines are installed and successfully operating in over 70 countries worldwide.  Bringing this international contingent together reinforced Burr Oak’s slogan, “Global Experience...Local Solutions.”
