Coil FormsCoil Forms Overview
Our Coil Form Machines produce high-quality bends in coils. Recent innovations have yielded the ability to make bends that were previously impossible from coils using very low-strength, enhanced fin designs. These coil forming machines will process single row coils or multiple single-row coils joined at one end. Vertical Arbor Coil Form MachineThis coil bending machine incorporates a single, vertically oriented bend arbor that produces one, two, or three 90º bends, creating L-, U-, or Box-shaped coils. The cycle time required to produce a single bend, after the coil has been loaded and positioned, is approximately 12 seconds. The vertical arbor design leaves the mechanical bond between the fin and tube undisturbed, ensuring maximum heat transfer. Standard features on the Vertical Arbor Coil Form Machine include the following: CFM Automatic Coil Feeding: This feature automatically positions the coil for the first bend and repositions for all subsequent bends until they are all completed. CFM Advanced Controls: This feature equips the coil forming machine with touch screen operator interface. The benefits provided by Advanced Controls are:
Horizontal Drum Coil Form MachineThis coil bending machine includes a rotating drum assembly, coil clamping mechanism, and coil table assembly. It is hydraulically operated by push-button and touch screen control. The rotating drum bending technique produces large radius circular shaped coils leaving the fins nearly free from distortion and the mechanical bond between the fin and tube undisturbed, ensuring maximum heat transfer. One forming drum (or quick change drum cover) for each coil radius to be produced is the only tooling required for this Coil Form equipment. The change over time for the drum is less than 10 minutes. The cycle time required to produce a coil is less than 30 seconds.
