Tube Benders
Tube Benders Overview
The Vertical Bend Hairpin Bender is a highly efficient tube bending machine for the production of various diameters, lengths and bend centers of hairpin bends. The Hairpin Bender generally consists of three sections: the tube bender, coil feeder and tube cutoff, and the coil stand. In the basic operation, level wound coils of tubing are fed through straightening rolls, cut to proper length, and bent at 180 degrees into a hairpin. Copper, Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, and Titanium can all be formed with this bending machine.
The following is a list of the standard machine features on the hairpin bender.
- VBHB Machine Controls: Equipped with our standard Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and touch screen interface.
- Hairpin Bender Bend Controls: The PLC selects which profile to use for the appropriate tube support boom, making length changes faster and more efficient.
- Hairpin Bender Quick Change Booms: This feature reduces the boom change time from 15-20 minutes to about 2 minutes without changing any screws.
- VBHB Low Oil Sensor.
- Hairpin Bender Individual Mandrel Oil Valves: Helps to prevent oil waste through inactive mandrel(s).
- VBHB Stripper Tube Protector: Prevents damage to the tubes during the feed and strip orientation.
- Vertical Bend Hairpin Bender Cable / Hose Carriers.
- Hairpin Bender Quick Disconnects: Provided for quick and easy installation of the hairpin bender and for shorter tooling change times.
